Uses |
It is widely used as an excellent solvent for coatings, inks, nitro spray paints, varnishes and various resins, and is also used in the flavor and fragrance industry. |
Hazard category |
Flammable liquid with flash point in class 3.2 |
Fire-fighting measures |
Extinguishing media: anti-solvent foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, sand. Water is not effective for extinguishing fires, but water can be used to keep containers in the fire cool |
Emergency treatment |
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse skin thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical attention
Eye contact: Lift eyelids and flush with running water or saline. Get medical attention
Inhalation: Get out of the scene quickly to fresh air. Keep the airway open. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, give artificial respiration immediately. Seek medical treatment
Ingestion: drink enough warm water, induce vomiting, seek medical attention |
Packaging, storage, transportation |
Packed in iron drums, 170-180kg/drum. Storage: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 30°C. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep container tightly closed. Should be stored separately from oxidizing agents. The lighting, ventilation and other facilities in the storage room should be explosion-proof, and the switch should be located outside the warehouse. Equipped with the appropriate variety and quantity of fire equipment. Prohibit the use of mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to sparks. Check regularly for leaks. When filling, pay attention to the precautions for flow and transportation: speed (not more than 3m/S), and there is a grounding device to prevent static electricity from accumulating. When handling, it should be lightly loaded and unloaded to prevent damage to packaging and containers
. Transport: transport according to the requirements of dangerous goods |
