Performance: HPC is a kind of important non-ion aqueous cellulose ether,the unique performance as below: (1) Solubility in Water HPC dissolves in water. (2) Solubility in Polar Organic Solvent It can dissolve in polar organic solvents such as methyl alcohol,alcohol,chloroform,acetone etc. (3)Hot Gelling Feature The water solution goes up or down with temperature,and takes on a reversible gelling process. (4)Thermoplasticity The temperature of hot plasticity ranges between 130-150° C, within the range HPC may be processed as plastic. (5)Membrane Forming HPC can form membrane with roughness,smoothness and good elasticity. (6) Cohesiveness It has strong coherence,and is used as thickening agent in solution. (7) Dispersiveness Its water solution owns surface activity, providing effect of dispersion, emulsification and suspension. (8) Anti-enzyme Property Owing to full reaction of substitution,the substitutive bases distribute homogeneous,HPC has comparatively strong anti-enzyme property and good resistance to bio-degradation. (9) Hygroscopicity HPC contains low average moisture. (10) Liquid Crystal Reaction Its thick solution may form regular-directional liquid crystal. (11) Safety HPC has no medical effect,nor toxicity,with low ash,physiologically harmless, and offers inert to metabolism. (12) Stability HPC presents chemical inertia,stable even under lightly acidic or alkaline conditions. 4.Property : HPC is used in industry mainly as disperser to produce PVC with suspension-method,such got PVC product presents uniform granule distribution,good plasticizing and adsorptive effect as well as excellent workability;used as thickening agent in oil-dissolving coating,glue bond,ink,cosmetics,paint remover,dry cells etc; used as controlled releaser in air freshening agent,solid spice,lavatory deodorant etc;used as fibre treatment agent,mixer of sand slurry and cement as well as coating agent for paper,protecting film for metal surface;used in pharmaceutical industry as cohesive agent,pill coating,and low release agent;used as fresh-keeper for food,fruit and vegetables,and surface decoration for pastry,candy,chocolate with unique good effect. 5.Method of Use : 1. Dissolve in Water: (1)Keep stirring,put HPC slowly into water until fully dissolved.Adding too fast will make difficult to dissolve. (2)Heat 20-30% of the required water to around 60°C,gradually put in HPC while fully stirring,at last add in the left water, it can entirely dissolve. 2. Dissolve in Organic Solvent: While fully stirring,slowly put HPC into organic solvent(putting in one lump will make difficult to dissolve.) 3. Directly Use: Owing to HPC's very good thermoplasticity and compatibility,it can be used after hot shaping,also can be used kneading together with other ingredients in a suitable proportion. 6.Packing and Storage : 20kg/25kg net wt.in carton drum,paper-plastic compound bag lined with 2 inner PE bags.Store hermetically,prevent fire and wet.
