Methanol, also known as hydroxymethane, is an organic compound and the simplest saturated monohydric alcohol. Its chemical formula is CH3OH / ch4o. CH3OH is a simple formula, which can highlight the hydroxyl group of methanol. CAS number is 67-56-1, molecular weight is 32.04 and boiling point is 64.7 ℃. It is also called "xylitol" or "lignin" because it was first found in dry distillation wood. The minimum dose of poisoning is about 100mg / kg body weight, and 0.3 ~ 1g / kg orally can be fatal. It is used in the manufacture of formaldehyde and pesticides, and as an extractant of organic matter and a denaturant of alcohol. |
