Category : Other Chemicals/Others
CAS NO : 117961-20-3 EC NO : MF : C14H29N2NaO8S2 MW : 440.5084 Specification : White Powder Packing : 500g/bottle Product description : The salt complex formed by the loss of hydrogen ions in the hydroxyl group of the sulfonic acid portion of MOPS hydrate is called MOPS semi sodium salt. The CAS number of MOPS semi sodium salt is 117961-20-3. After titration with anhydrous sulfuric acid, the purity can reach over 99%, and the UV absorbance is less than 0.05. At 20 ℃, the acidity coefficient of MOPS semi sodium salt is 7.2 and it is not sensitive to temperature. The physical state of MOPS semi sodium salt is a white crystalline powder. To obtain a 0.1M colorless and clear MOPS semi sodium salt buffer, 500g of MOPS semi sodium salt crystalline powder needs to be dissolved in 1L of deionized water. At 25 ℃, the pH value of MOPS semi sodium salt in aqueous solution is 7.0, which belongs to weak alkalinity. However, when MOPS semi sodium salt buffer is used for biochemical research, its high activity pH value range is 6.5-7.9. MOPS semi sodium salt and MOPS both belong to the morpholine family of buffering agents, containing N-substituted amino sulfonic acids with morpholine rings. They do not bind to metals, but can undergo oxidation-reduction reactions with strong acids and bases. Uses : Biological buffer Synonyms : no data Molecular Structure :
