Used as a corrosion and scale inhibitor, water stabilizer, quencher, thickener, etc 6. Used for manufacturing acrylic resin paints 7. The carbomer 940 produced by Desheng is a synthetic polymer that is cross-linked with acrylic acid and allyl sucrose or allyl pentaerythritol ether. In a research work to measure the crosslinked molecular weight, the researchers applied the elastic network structure theory to the swelling gel, and established the inverse function relationship between the elastic modulus and the crosslinked molecular weight. Generally speaking, low viscosity and low hardness carbomer resins have higher cross-linking molecular weight values, while high viscosity and high hardness carbomers have lower cross-linking molecular weight values.
