Product description : Fructosyl Amino Acid Oxidase (FAOD, EC1.5.3. X) belongs to the oxidoreductase class and is a type of enzyme that can specifically catalyze the oxidative decomposition of fructose amino acids using fructose amino acids as a substrate, producing hydrogen peroxide, glucurone, and corresponding amino acids. FAOD is a D-amino acid oxidase family with FAD as a coenzyme, and its FAD domain consists of four domains α Spiral and 2 β Folding composition, its catalytic activity has substrate specificity. Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C) Glucose in hemoglobin β- The N-terminal valine residue of the chain specifically modifies hemoglobin. HbA1C can reflect the average blood glucose level of the human body in recent three months, and is not affected by the fluctuation of blood glucose concentration. It is the gold standard for monitoring, management and control of diabetic patients. Biochemical research: FAOD, as the core catalytic enzyme of the HbA1C enzymatic detection kit, can specifically oxidize N-terminal glycosylated amino acids to produce H2O2, which is coupled with the corresponding color source to generate signals under the action of catalase. The FAOD provided by our company is a genetic recombination product, which is free of animal derived viruses and has high purity and good activity. It can be used as an indispensable raw material for the research and production of HbA1C diagnostic reagents.
