CAS NO : 9026-93-1 EC NO : 232-817-5 MF : MW : Specification : Freeze dried powder or solution Product description : Adenosine Deaminase (ADA) Cat # Abt-P-1003 Adenosine deaminase (EC: 3.5.4.4) is an important enzyme in purine nucleoside metabolism, belonging to the thiol group enzyme category. Each molecule contains at least 2 active thiol groups, and its activity can completely inhibit chloromercuric acid. ADA deaminates adenosine to produce inosine and ammonia (NH3). ADA can also catalyze the conversion of adenine nucleosides to hypoxanthine nucleosides, which are then converted into hypoxanthine by nucleoside phosphorylase. The metabolic end product of ADA is uric acid. Adenosine deaminase is a nucleic acid metabolic enzyme that is closely related to the cellular immune activity of the body. The research on the diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment, and immune function of certain diseases by measuring the levels of ADA and its isoenzymes in blood and body fluids is increasingly receiving clinical attention. ADA activity is a sensitive indicator of liver injury and can be used as one of the routine examination items for liver function. Combined with ALT or GGT, the liver enzyme spectrum can comprehensively reflect the enzymatic changes of liver diseases. Uses : enzymic preparations Synonyms : Adenosine Deaminase;
